Last year, when I ate fresh cranberries for the very first time in my life, I didn’t expect them to be so tart. I had bought a whole bag of cranberries but didn’t know what to do with them. So I froze them. Ten months later, I came across this recipe for cranberry simple syrup, and I was able to finally use that bag of cranberries. We are having - as we speak - cranberry spritzers. Refreshing!

I served this with a coulis I made out of blackberries and blueberries I had at hand. In her recipe, she used strawberries, but as she mentioned, any berry will do.
